leader.  He is a straightforward communicator whose passionate Biblical teaching presents God's unchanging truth in a powerful way that is relevant to life today.

He believes the Bible is the inerrant, infallible, inspired Word of God without any mixture of error.  It is the sole authority for the Christian life and ministry.   He believes that in these changing times, our God and His Word remain changeless. 

Pastor Stan has been a Pastor for over 30 years and he is Past-President of the North Carolina State Baptist Convention.  He was called to West Asheville Baptist church in May of 2007.   

He is and his wife, Melody, are the proud parents and grandparents of three sons and three grandchildren.
