We want your visit to West Asheville to be a wonderful
experience, we have excellent Preschool and Children's
ministries. In the Family Life Welcome Center, greeters
are located inside to assist you.
You will find wonderful classes for your children from
birth through 6th grade.
The Preschool Ministry is a
wonderful warm caring place with rooms designed for each
child's development stage and staffed by caring members.
We use a security system of pagers and matching tags
for check/in-out of children. Our
child-adult rations vary by age group, but we
ALWAYS staff our classrooms well above the recommended rations.
During the Sunday morning
11:00 service time, we offer nursery care for babies
through 3 year olds. Our 4 year olds through 2nd
grade continue learning about Jesus and lots of fun
activities in three different kid friendly
worship services. We offer programming activities and
childcare during all services.
WHAT TYPE OF
SECURITY DO YOU PROVIDE?
Each child must be registered at the Welcome Desk before entering a class.
All preschoolers through Kindergarten are required to have a
security label and pager. These must be presented at
departure to pickup a child. Additional security measures
and personnel are on campus to ensure the safety of
every child.
CHECKING ON YOUR CHILD
If you would like to check on your little one during the worship
service, please stop by the welcome center and one of our
monitors will assist you. We ask that you do not peek into the
classroom as this can upset your child and others if your child
sees you.
DROP OFF/PICK-UP
PROCEDURES
Classes open 15 minutes prior to services.
Please do not bring children any earlier, our staff arrives
early to prepare the classroom and materials for teaching time.
At your child's classroom, you will fill out security tag
information.
You will be expected to present your
child's security tag at the time of pick-up. Please know
that for the safety of all, children will only be released to
the adult having the matching tag. Siblings will not be allowed
to pick up there younger brother or sister unless they are 16
and have the matching numbered security tag. Make sure
that all your child's personal items have been returned to you
before you leave the premises.
SNACKS
Snacks are provided for the children 2 through 5 years. Our
snacks are apple juice, water, crackers small butter
cookies, Goldfish, cheese balls and toddler safe foods. If your
child has an allergy, please inform the leader when you check
them in.
WELL BABY POLICY
We desire for all children to
stay as healthy as possible, for their protection we
operate a well-baby program.
We cannot accept a child with a
runny nose, fresh cold (four days or less), fever, rash,
persistent cough, diarrhea or any other signs of illness. We
request that you not place your child in the program while they
are at risk of exposing other children. Thank you in advance for
helping us keep Joyland a healthy place for all.
TOYS
The toys in each room are age-appropriate and our classrooms are
setup by developmental age. Each week the rooms and toys
are disinfected and sterilized. Very often parents comment
are classrooms are cleaner than their homes.
