WHAT ARE SERVICES LIKE? Sunday
Morning
Bible Study On
Sunday morning at 9:45, we have Bible Study time for all
ages, from infants to senior adults. You are
greeted by smiling faces who will help you find a Bible
Study class that is appropriate for your age and
interests. You do not need to know a lot about the
Bible or being a Christian to enjoy this small group
time and get to know others. Our teachers and class
members will make you feel welcome! Many of our
guests like to start out visiting the 11:00 Worship
Service first and then attend Bible Study after a few
visits.
Sunday
Morning
Worship
We have two Sunday morning Worship Service which you can
attend. One begins at 8:30 and the other one at 11:00am. We usually have an
Order of Service that you will receive as you enter the
service. The service starts with prelude music and
follows the Order of Service.
During the service, we sing hymns and praise songs.
All words to the songs will be on the media screens. We have featured
songs by our choir, ensemble, or soloists. This
time of singing is meant to prepare your heart for
worship and a message from Pastor Stan Welch.
After the service, Pastor Stan and his wife, Melody will
be in the foyer if you would like to speak with them.
They would love to greet you personally and thank you
for visiting with us at West Asheville Baptist Church.
Sunday Evening On
Sunday night beginning at 6:00 pm, we have a worship
service which is very similar to our 11:00 service.
Wednesday Nights We have a fellowship meal beginning at 5:00.
Instead of rushing home to fix dinner,
your family can eat together in our Fellowship
Hall. There is a small cost and you can call the
church office at (828)253-9824 for more information and
to make a reservation. The meal and the services
are very informal. Bible Study is from
